Booking Your Course

Booking Conditions 

    1.       How to enrol

Complete your Enrolment Form and send it with your £150 deposit and/or full fees.  Please tick the appropriate box on your Enrolment Form to tell us whether you are sending your money through the bank.  Please note that any deposits are non-refundable. 

 

2.       How to pay

You can pay your £150 deposit and/or full fees by cash, Sterling cheque, Eurocheque (in amounts not exceeding £700), a GBP Banker’s Draft, international bank transfer or we accept most major debit or credit cards. 

 

3.       Minimum age and level

Please refer to the course details in the brochure.

 

4.       Documentation

When we receive your Enrolment Form and deposit/full fees, we will send you your Letter of Acceptance and your invoice.

If you require a special letter or invitation to apply for a visa, please tick the appropriate box on the Enrolment Form and we will send it to you.

 

5.       Absences

If you are absent during your course, no refund can be given and you will not be eligible to make up periods of absence at the end of your course unless by special agreement with the Centre Manager.

 

6.       Home-stay accommodation  and fees

A limited amount of accommodation may be available to students, however, this cannot be guaranteed.

If applicable, fees are payable 1 month in advance of the course start date.

Please note: there will be no refunds if the student cancels the course or finds their own accommodation.

One month notice is required to find accommodation (subject to availability).

Please contact A+ English Language Centre to check availability before starting your course.

A+ English reserves the right to cancel this service at any time.

Once accommodation has been allocated, no alternative will be offered.

One weeks notice is required by student or host to vacate the accommodation.

A retainer fee may be payable for home-stay accommodation which is vacated for a period of one week or more during your stay.  Prior notice MUST be given.  Otherwise, full accommodation fees may be payable.

 

7.       Arrival and airport transfers

We will be pleased to arrange an airport transfer from your airport of arrival.  If you are travelling with other students, the cost of the transfer by car/taxi can be divided between a maximum of 4 people.  For a larger group we will quote appropriate rates by minibus.  We will be pleased to offer directions by public transport if requested.

 

8.       Cancellations by students

You are strongly advised to take out insurance against late cancellation of bookings, as fees cannot be refunded after a certain time.

Cancellation can only be accepted in writing.  Deposits are non-refundable.  Consideration will be given to the refund of accommodation fees, provided they have not already been paid to the host or the hotel on behalf of the student.  Responsibility cannot be accepted for loss of fees by students who have not taken out insurance.

 

9.       Curtailment of course

Consideration will be given to the refund of tuition fees.  Refunds will be made at A+ English Language Centre’s discretion and up to one month’s fees may be retained.

 

10.    Cancellation by A+ English Language Centre

A+ English Language Centre reserves the right to cancel any course where bookings fall below the minimum number.  An alternative course will be offered or a full refund of fees paid.

 

11.    Days when the centre is closed to group courses

A+ English Language Centre is closed to group courses for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period.  There are 5 additional public holidays during the year when A+ English Language Centre is normally closed.  Teaching will not take place on these dates except by prior arrangement.

 

12. Liability

A+ English Language Centre will not be liable for loss, damage or injury to persons or property howsoever caused, nor for extra expense incurred by circumstances outside our control, e.g. strikes, riots, sickness, war, etc.

Students at A+ English Language Centre are liable, jointly or individually, for any damage caused by them to any property or person.

  

13.    Visa Letter Issuing Procedure

Before a visa letter is issued a deposit of £1000.00 (One Thousand Pounds) must be received by A+ English Language Centre.

N.B. Please make cheques payable to A+ English Ltd.

 If the full course is less than this amount, then the full fees are required before a visa letter is issued.

Failure to attend the course on the dates stated on the visa letter will result in the course being cancelled. A refund of £700.00 will be given if a copy of the visa refusal letter from the embassy is received by A+ English Language Centre. 

If no visa refusal letter is received by A+ English Language Centre, then the full £1000.00 will be non-refundable. 

A+ English Language Centre will contact the embassy on receipt of a refusal letter to verify the information.
